Open Water Swimming Membership

This limited membership is open to those aged 18 and over who wish only to join in the club's open water swimming sessions. If you expect to take part in other club activities then please join as a standard Adult member using the appropriate application page (note that Adult membership also covers OW swimming, you do not need to sign up twice).

Open Water swimming sessions are predominantly held at Druridge Bay Country Park and take place between May and September (weather permitting), usually on a Thursday evening. Membership costs £10 for the year: this will enable you to book in for future OW swim sessions, the majority of which are then free to join for our members.

All those taking part in the open water swimming sessions are expected to already be competent swimmers - there is no teaching or coaching of technique, although advice and encouragement is plentiful.
