The 32nd edition of the Schwanheimer Pfingstlauf will take place on Saturday 23 May. This is the fourth event of the 2026 Main-Lauf-Cup and one of the most beautiful spring races in the area. Notably, it is also one of the few events taking place on a Saturday afternoon rather than on a Sunday morning. No excuses for the Morgenmuffeln.
This year, the organisers offer four different distances/courses along the Frankfurter Stadtwald and next to the Schwanheimer Düne (mostly gravel paths with some small hills)
For the 10km, there is a water station just after the 5km mark and another one on the finish line.
All races start at the Sportgelände Ffm-Schwanheim. The best way to reach Schwanheim is probably by bike or public transport (950m walk from the Rheinlandstraße tram stop).
It is normally possible to use the changing rooms (inlc. showers) of the FC Germania 06 Schwanheim e.V. and the organisers offer a garderobe service so that bags with valuables can be left under surveillance during the race.
Online registrations are possible until Thursday 21 May, but please note that the last MLC events were sold out at least one week ahead of the race.
We encourage all members to wear the ECB Running Section gear during the event. A group picture of the team will be taken at 16:45 next to the bag drop-off tents. Stay tuned to our WhatsApp group for more updates.

The Frankfurt Half Marathon is the fourth event of the 2026 Main-Lauf-Cup, a series of 11 races in or around Frankfurt taking place between March and December. Most events offer distances ranging from 5km to Half-Marathon as well as bambini and children’s races. While it is possible to participate in individual races, runners must complete at least 5 courses to qualify for the. The official awards ceremony for the 2025 Main-Lauf-Cup took place on Friday 30 January and saw four of our members on the podium for their respective age categories: Sonja Hahn (3rd place W50), Sergio del Molino (2nd place U20), Ralph Setzer (2nd position M50) Eduardo del Molino (2nd place M55). The highest classified colleagues in the overall combined ranking were Darío Collado (9) and Dominique Sanders (121). In 2026, a new points system has been introduced to calculate the ranking. In addition to the general ranking and cup prizes, SCC runners completing 5 races qualify for our internal ranking and the possibility to win one of the three 75€ vouchers from the Frankfurt Laufshop. To qualify, make sure to mention “ECB Running Section” as your club / one of your clubs when registering for the individual races.
