With assistance from a council grant as part of the Lancaster Celebrating Cycling initiative and a discount from the Edge Cycle shop, COLT purchased two road bikes. The purpose is to allow club members to have a trial ride on a road bike and see for themselves what it’s like to be able to take to the roads and enjoy cycling. It’s a way for members to find out whether cycling is a sport for them, before they need to make an investment themselves (bikes generally being the most expensive piece of equipment that a triathlete owns!).
These are Trek bikes, with a 52cm and 56cm frame size, which gives a pretty broad range of cycling fitting. If you’re interested in taking one of the bikes for a trial, use the contact form on the website and we will be in touch to provide more details about availability and requirements.
