Manchester Raiders 2022

Manchester Raiders Kabaddi Team

History

Manchester Raiders Kabaddi Club is owned and managed by Moinul Islam MBE founder of community organisations Outta Skool and Let’s Get Active Community Enterprise CIC. Moinul already runs a Boxing, Football, Muay Thai and Taekwondo club through Outta Skool for under privileged young people and now adding Kabaddi to the offer. With a background in secondary education, Moinul is the first in the country to develop and deliver Kabaddi as a GCSE PE syllabus since 2010.

The Club is represented by players from around the Northwest, students, and professionals from various sectors with a wealth of experience in the sport. Being part of the BKL has given the club the opportunity to take this sport to a professional level.

Our primary focus outside of BKL is to promote this awesome sport at grassroots and re-establish a love for this ancient sport in generations to come not only in the South Asian Community but the wider community. We are already working on a women’s and a youth team.
