Celebrating our Milestone Appearance Makers

Sat, 20 Sep 2025, 10:14
AFC Mackworth HonoursAll of the players who are in the 50, 100 and 150 appearance clubs for AFC Mackworth

As we enter our 10th year as a football club it is important we celebrate those who have helped us get here.

Our ninth year saw plenty of players hit milestone appearance marks showing incredible commitment and loyalty to the football club.

Three new players join the 50 appearances club, their first appearance milestone during their time at AFC Mackworth.

Joining the 50 club are: Liam Mann, Sonny Thake and Josh Blurton.

Sonny Thake just creeped over the 50 appearance mark finishing last season with 51 total appearances for the club. Starting out as an effective utility man, reliable wherever he was needed, Sonny then became more consistently utilised as a striker and bagged 15 goals during his time.

Josh Blurton first joined the club in 2020, picking up a total of 54 appearances during his time. A goalkeeper who during his time at AFC Mackworth saw plenty of improvement in between the sticks.

The 100 appearance club has seen no new members this time round, the club find that this appearance mark is very tough to achieve, with it being very rare for those who hit 50 to make the jump up to 100.

In the clubs history we have had only one addition to the 150 appearance club which was Jack Ashby in 2024, what more do you need to say about him? But now we finally have people joining him in the most elusive club there is.

Joining the 150 appearances club are: Goalkeeper Ollie Cammidge, Ryan Meynell and Kurt Dallison.

Joining the club in 2016, Ollie Cammidge has been one of the best goalkeepers around at this level, and has been since the clubs second season, amassing a total of 156 appearances at the club. He’s even picked up 13 assists during his time between the sticks!

There are simply not many words needed for Ryan Meynell, a man who has been pretty much ever-present since he joined the club in 2016. A man who has numbers we will likely never see again at the club with 152 goal and 69 assists in 161 appearances for the club. Meynell was the first player and only player so far to hit the 150 goal mark at AFC Mackworth.

Kurt Dallison has been with the club since day one, as we enter our 10th year so does he. One of the most committed and loyal players at the football club, Dallison has picked up a total of 154 appearances with 59 goals and 38 assists during that time. Despite recent struggles with injuries Kurt has always been committed and loyal to the football club and we are incredibly lucky to have him.

It goes without saying that without these players committing their time and effort to the football club, there would be no AFC Mackworth. From those all the way back in 2015 up to those here now we thank everyone for their commitment and most importantly congratulations to those who have achieved the incredible appearance milestones.

Here’s to many more!
