A Monthly Update from chairman Dan Willis: August

Mon, 04 Aug 2025, 10:45

As Chairman of AFC Mackworth, I’d like to take this opportunity to provide a brief update on the progress we've made over the past month.

We’re pleased to confirm that our senior team has now returned to full pre-season training. The energy and commitment from the players and coaching staff have been fantastic, and preparations are well underway for the season ahead.

Recently, we held a productive coaches meeting where we discussed and laid out our plans for the future. It’s an exciting time for the club, and we’re confident that the steps we’re taking now will help us build strong foundations for continued growth and success.

We’ve also chosen our new kit for the upcoming season, and we’re looking forward to sharing the design with you all very soon via our social media platforms. The kit has been ordered and we expect delivery within the next few weeks.

Finally, we want to remind everyone how vital our volunteers are to the running of AFC Mackworth. We are once again calling out to anyone who may be interested in joining either our committee or coaching team. Without volunteers, this club simply cannot operate. Your support helps keep our community club alive and thriving.

If you’d like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for your continued support.

Up the Mack!
